Melissa Chemam

Melissa Chemam is a writer, freelance journalist and lecturer in Media Production/Creative Industries at UWE Bristol. For over a decade, she worked as a reporter in America, Europe, Africa, the Middle East (for the BBC, CBC, RFI, F24…), and as a researcher for the award-winning filmmaker Raoul Peck, within his production company Velvet Film. Her first book, about the band Massive Attack and their relations to Bristol, was released in 2019. She writes about multiculturalism and post-colonial issues for different magazines and reviews.
