✨Come celebrate the launch of Skin Deep: Anthology, our latest print magazine chronicling over 10 years ✨

This Anthology issue of our print magazine will mark a decade of Skin Deep’s work at the intersection of culture and racial justice by republishing the best of our back catalogue alongside bold new commissions on the theme of time, cycles, pacing, rhythm and change.

We’ve curated an afternoon and evening of performances, discussions, banner-making, food, music and a library of selections – settle in and flip through our back prints, readings by collaborators, our sources of inspiration and reference. Snacks and drinks will be provided throughout the day. Food will continue to be available at reduced cost in the evening to welcome Iftar.

Last year Skin Deep welcomed in 10 years 🥲 From a student zine in June 2014, we’ve been creating an outlet for discussing racial politics and archiving against the erasure of the experiences of BIPOC students in academic institutions. To continue growing in this next decade of work with co-conspirators through writing and discussing the just and liberated futures we envision, brings us to a moment to celebrate.

All experience levels welcome!

  • To book your spot, please drop us a line at events@skindeepmag.com. For all ticket holders, space is limited! You do not need to bring anything to the workshop, however if you have a piece of audio you’ve recorded and would like to share it, please feel free to bring this.
